I had been a massage therapist for over 10 years, and in 2008, while pursuing a career in interior designer; I realized I had a passion and a natural talent for metal sculpting. I was living in Austin, TX and working towards an Interior Design degree but was quickly side tracked when I stumbled on and fell madly in love with metal sculpture. Instead, I earned my degree in Art Metals at Austin Community College. From there, I began honing my skills in the metal studio I built,  and aligned myself for a successful art career by becoming one of 25 “creatives” chosen for the inaugural Artist INC. Live-Austin, 6 week intensive seminar, in 2014.

     I enjoy sculpting metal in a way that is recognizable but with a distinct exaggeration, and on occasion; use light to enhance that exaggeration. Sometimes my art is born from recycled material or reclaimed objects. It's exciting to me to take discarded material and turn it into something completely different and amazing!  I like feeling that I am doing my part to make this a greener, more positive world, by guiding folks to see things in a whole new, creative, and innovative way. I also really enjoy creating one of a kind , custom pieces for clients. Its another avenue that challenges and inspires me to tap into my potential. It greatly aids in the expansion of "Me" as an artist and a person.

God gave me creative vision and technical skills to make metal do amazing things. I feel very blessed to have discovered my passion in life and the vehicle that helps me reach that potential. I guess you could say, "I finally know what I want to be when I grow up!"
